CHRIST'S FAREWELL

I shall go to my Father’s house,

and prepare there a place for you. 

I’ll return to take you with me. 

I shall not leave you orphans,

I’ll come back, take you with me. 

As I live, so you shall live.

If you love, you will keep my word,

and my Father will love you. 

We shall come to dwell with you.

Gift of peace I bequeath to you,

my own peace I now give to you,

peace the world knows not to give.

 

We shall live, we shall dwell with you.

From this life we shall come to you:

you with us and we with you,
