Watermead Voices
A sharing of thoughts, reflections, poetry, articles
Over the years we have shared the voices of people through their various creative gifts of music, art, poetry, prayers.
Watermead Voices
is a blog that shares the writings of Fr John and others involved with our apostolate - some of which have been already been shared through our publications. But mainly we shall share new articles along with reflections from the contributions that have been sent to us and the blog will be added to regularly. So do keep returning to this page to read the latest topical sharing, along with the many writings we may choose to share from our archives - and if you have any reflections, poetry, etc. that you would like to share through us then please do contact us.

Ponderings of a Lourdes Pilgrim Pat Murphy has been travelling with us on our Watermead pilgrimages for many years and usually brings friends from Liverpool with her. She also travels to Lourdes each year helping on the Liverpool diocesan pilgrimage and has been writing a regular column of her thoughts and experiences relating to those pilgrimages in their diocesan magazine. Below she has shared with us two of her articles. At the time of posting, Pat will next be travelling to Lourdes with the Archdiocese from 24th - 31st July 2025.
Watermead Programmes/Talks
Another sharing of our voices is through topical audio programmes we have produced, along with the recorded homilies and talks by Fr John.
Below are the audio and video programmes we have recorded. To access Fr John's homilies and talks click on the button for details.

VIDEO PROGRAMMES
The video below was recorded in 2016 for a programme commissioned by Heavens Road Catholic Radio Station to celebrate the canonisation of Mother Teresa of Calcutta. The video below is not the best quality but it gives a little insight from Fr John into the mission of our music apostolate. The introduction is an arrangement of Pie Jesu by Gabriel Fauré as played and arranged by Alison Kennedy on St Joseph's organ. All other music used is composed by Watermead and sung by Watermead singers and St Joseph's choir, with an additional song, 'How Can I Heal (Your Broken Heart)' by friend, Liam Lawtonand used with his permission.
